Nostalgic

I have been doing one of my favorite things this week. I spent all morning on Wednesday cooking and preserving raspberry jam. I have been making jam almost every summer for over 20 years. I started making it with my mother and have taught my own daughters.

I love the first whiff of the berries as they start to cook. I look forward to the first taste of a fresh raspberry every summer. I have made many different types of jams and jellies, but i am in love with raspberry jam. I love it because of the memories---of my mother, of my daughters and of myself.
