Secret Grandaughters

In April and May Winnie's Activity Leaders did a really cute activity with Secret Grandmas. There was a shortage of grandmas in the ward, so I was asked to be a grandma! We spend three Sundays before the activity exchanging gifts with each other and then in May had a garden party where we met each other! So cute.

Winnie's friend Quinn who is not a member of the church participated too. They are best friends and so cute together! They always go to activity days together and love it.

The decor was lovely. They served finger foods and lovely homemade cup cakes.

Winnie's secret grandma was Sister Clayton. Winnie was so excited because she loves her.

My secret granddaughter was Ashley.

It was such a neat party and idea. We played get to know you games and planted flowers and made paper hats.

Good Friends

This is lovely picture of Hannah with her dear friend, Rachel. I am so grateful that Hannah has god friends to associate with. Friends are so important in life. I really am glad that we live in an area with lots of good people.

Nice Shot

We like to go to the gun range for FHE. This was Bobby's first time shooting a 22.

Father's Day

This is the best husband and father ever! He does so much for our family. I can't imagine my life without him.

Memorial Day Fun

We spent Memorial Day weekend down in Ninilchick this year. There were so many people from our ward there it felt like we just moved Eagle River 5 hours north. There were huge wild fires going on in the Soldotna area, but the wind was blowing the smoke away from Ninilchick, so it wasn't that bad.
We stayed down there Friday through Monday. Robert and friends took the boat out on Saturday morning and caught a couple of small halibut. We just spent time visiting with friends and cooking and visiting the beach. We didn't clam this year, but we did see a lot of beautiful Eagles.

On Sunday we visited the Homer ward and then we all went down to Homer Spit to look around and take pictures.

This kids loved answering gospel questions to get ice cream cones at the Rampton's cabin. Bobby would go over all by himself and then show up back at our trailer with a huge ice cream cone!

It is times likes these that make me so grateful for my life and for my Heavenly Father. He gave me such a beautiful earth to live on and such a wonderful family and wonderful friends. I am so glad that Alaska is my home. It is not perfect in every way, but I can't imagine living anywhere else.
