Final Day: Oahu
On our final day in Hawaii we got off the ship at 9:00, rented a car and had the whole day ahead of us. We decided to save touring Pearl Harbor for another trip. Instead we headed for Laie and the the Polynesian Cultural Center. On our way we stopped at the Dole Plantation and ate the most delicious pineapple frozen yogurt ever! The temple is nearby the PCC and so we stopped there for a brief visit. The temple in under construction for the next year, so we were unable to go inside. On the grounds, though, they gave me a beautiful flower for my hair. The PCC was awesome and I must reccomend it for anyone traveling to Hawaii. It teaches you a ton about the different cultures that make up Hawaii. We also attended the Luau there and ate delicious food and recieved fresh flower leis which we took home to the girls. After the Luau we sped back to the airport to catch our evening flight home.

Day 8: Kauai Part 2
The second day in Kauai was a short day. We had to be back on the ship by 1 p.m. So we spent the morning at a nearby beach and then we visited a blowhole that was very interesting. I think the best part of the day was back on board. Then ship took a cruise along the Napali coast on Kauai which is not accessible by car. It was breathtakingly gorgeous. We even spotted dolphins. i was so excited to finally see some dolphins!

Day 7 :Kauai Part 1
We spent day 7 & 8 in Kauai. I looooved Kauai. The weather was absolutely gorgeous while we were there. If I were forced to choose my favorite island it would be difficult, but as of now I would lean towards Kauai. The first day in Kauai we sent at Queen's Bath, zip lining and Hanalai Bay.
We did a zip line tour which was really great , but very pricey. I am glad we did it, but I think perhaps a bit overpriced. I was thrilling though. We zipped through 9 lines and then ended up swimming in a water hole and sharing a nice lunch.

We hit the sushi bar--again! A caterpillar roll of course.

Day 6: Kona--Back to the Big Island
We really Like the Big Island. We loved Hilo and were excited to return to the other side and visit Kona. The weather was great , but a bit hazy from the VOG-- volcanic smog. We had heard from some good friends and from our trusty "Revealed" guide books that we really wanted to see Captian Cook monument. There is great snorkeling there and you are likly to see dolphins! You can only get there by boat and we really wanted to do some Sea Kyaking so we rented a car and a kyak for the day. It was awesome. I love kyaking, but I seriuosly have my doubts that I could do it alone. I am so greatful for my big strong husband!

I found out on this trip that a lot of fish mate for life. It was so sweet to see them swimming two by two all over the place.
I just had to stop and take a picture of this beautiful bush.

Maui:Day 5
When I first started reading up on Maui, the place that most interested me was Mokolini Crater. I love to snorkel and this crater is touted as one of the best snorkel sights in the world. I went ahead ans signed us up for an excursion.....awesome! It was a perfect day in Maui. The sun was shining and the waters were calm and clear.

Robert had fun playing with his new digital underwater camera. He must have taken 100 pictures! I think this one looks awesome. We saw so many things while snorkeling. It was like we were in a Jaques Custeau movie. We saw hundreds of different types of fish and coral. We saw a reef shark, an octopus and even a Morea eel.

Thak night we were so tired that we just ate in the buffet and headed back to our room to watch moveis and go to sleep.

Maui: Day 4
What can you say about Maui? Everyone talks about Maui. We got in port with high expectations and two whole days of Maui ahead of us. The first day of Maui we didn't really have anything scheduled, so we went to the lecture and decided to drive the rode to Hana. We heard it was absolutely breathtaking and plus at the end there was a red sand beach!. It really isn't far to Hana it is just very slow and curvy. There are lots of waterfall sight and hike you can take. Robert had read about a waterfall hike in the adventure section of our guidebook that included four waterfalls, scaling difficult terrain and swimming 100 yards in waterfall run off. We just couldn't resist.

Yes we got a convertible! It was awesome driving the road to Hana in the open. I highly recommend a convertible for a trip to Hawaii!

That night we returned to the ship exhausted again, but before bed we made a trip to the all you can eat Sushi Bar. All the sushi you can eat for $15. We ate 9 rolls!
