I attended the General Relief Society Broadcast last night and was really touched by Elder Uchtdorf's message. I am amazed by his keen insight into lds women. I love his book "The Remarkable Soul of a Woman". I am so grateful President Monson asked him to address us. It was exactly what I needed.

Fall Around Our House

I know I posted some fall pics last week , but I wanted to share a few more. It is so gorgeous! I wish I had a better camera, so I could capture it a little nicer.

Bobby checking out our raspberries. He has loved going out there everyday and harvesting. They are pretty much gone, but he still inspects them everyday.

This is one of the signs the girls got for completing the summer reading program at the public library. They both read 1000 minutes this summer.

Bobby running in our circle.

On his favorite swing.

I drove up Steeple Dr. to see if I could locate our house from above. I couldn't find it, but it is somewhere down in this picture.

A picture of our church building with the fall colors. It make me feel like we are in New England. It is so picturesque.

Beech Lake Jamboree 2011

The girls participated in the Beech Lake Jamboree again this year. It is a race for elementary kids in the area. They both were amazing. There was perfect weather for it too--about 55 degrees.

The Athletes.

Winnie was smokin'! I started having contractions running trying to get to the finish line after taking this picture at the half way point! She is really a runner. She paces herself and doesn't stop at all during the race. She ran a mile in 7 minutes--finishing in the top 15. Pretty good considering she was racing against 1st and 2nd graders!

Hannah taking off! I was so proud of Hannah. I literally cried at the finish line. She worked so hard and never stopped running.

Hannah collapsed after the race!

Posing with Nana after the race. Nana had 6 grandchildren participating this year.

What A Wonderful Weekend

This past weekend we had our cherished dental school friends, The Elisons, come and visit us. It was so wonderful to have them here. The origional plan was for Jamie to come by herself for the Time Out For Women being held here in Anchorage. It morphed into a quick family vacay when Mark and Robert decided that they couldn't bare to be apart when Jamie and I were together. I am so glad they all came. It was a fun filled weekend.

Mark, Robert, Brian and Hannah took a fishing Charter out of Homer. They limited out on King salmon and halibut. They also ran into a pod of these beauties!

The catch!

Hannah caught the biggest King of the charter...about 40 pounds!

Bobby and his friend, Jacob. Jacob is 4 months older.

They men took the kids out to Jim Creek while Jamie and I were at TOFW.

Hannah lookin' cool by the fire.

Mark driving one of the 6 wheelers (they had two) while Winnie looks on.

After stake conference we stopped by Cheny Lake for some pretty fall photos.

A Fair Day for the Fair

We picked a good day for the fair this year. It was sunny and nice and not too crowded. We picked the girls up from school on Monday and headed out. We Picked up Becca and Remi along the way too. It was a great day!

Winnie and Hannah love to get a Turkey leg at the fair. I had some of the best ribs ever.

This is the reason I go to the fair...the Denali Cream Puff!

Hannah getting her hula hoop on.

Winnie is the hula queen!

The petting zoo was awesome. They even had calf to pet.

Winnie petting a piglet.

A great big pumpkin!
