Bobby at Four

When Robert and I moved to Kentucky with our darling baby girl, Hannah, we made a stop in Nauvoo.

The spirit of Nauvoo is so strong. The spirit is thick there. I remember getting on a horse drawn carriage with my little family. The couple in front of us had an adorable little boy of  three or four. I looked at the boy and the spirit washed over me so strongly that I too would mother a little boy. An image of a four-year-old, dark haired little boy entered my mind and I knew he would be my son. For years I kept that with me. It carried me through some hard times. I have to say that I even doubted sometimes, be he came anyways. Now I hold that little four-year-old boy in my arms and I am grateful. 

Construction Birthday Party

Bobby turned four this month. We hosted a construction party on his birthday. He invited a few friends (mostly girls) over to celebrate with him. 

W made this construction cake together. Bobby loved putting the construction toys on it. I made this cake from a few different ideas I found on Pinterest. I really like the cone candles we found. I love how this cake turned out and it wasn't very hard to make.

Here are most of the guests from the party. Everybody received a construction hat and tool belt with a paintbrush and tools in it.

We had fun decorating for the party. We just bought a roll of caution tape and few signs and we had a construction party! Bobby insisted that we put caution tape on all the chairs.

Bobby and I built this  house together be fore the party. The kids really enjoyed painting during the party.

All the kids got a chance to hammer some "nails". This activity was very popular. 

Everybody took turns digging in the sand.

After the jobs were done we all came up stairs for lunch, cake and presents.

Cracking Eggs

When Bobby was almost three he started cooking with me. He really wanted to crack the eggs, but I told him you can't crack eggs until you are four. He really took that to heart and has anticipated his 4th birthday for an entire year just so he could crack eggs.

Guess what we have had for breakfast everyday since his birthday?

Bobby, Winnie and I made some heart shaped crayons to pass out for Valentine's Day. 

They turned out so sweet.

Especially in these sweet little hands.

Jesus Wants Bobby For A Sunbeam

Bobby started Sunbeams in January. He misses nursery, but he goes and loves it! He is at a stage where he never smiles for pictures and only wants to make funny faces. His cute teacher got into it and made a funny face too!

Surprise Birthday Trip

This year for Robert's Birthday I planned a surprise trip to Vegas! The best part of all was that Our very best friends, Mark and Jamie, joined us. I had the best time planning the trip with Jamie. We dropped the kids off at Nana and Papa's and I told Robert where we were going on the way to the airport! We then missed our plane, but it all worked out because we got on a later flight that got there a few hour later. 

We stayed at the Paris hotel at the recommendation of my good friend, Liz. She was right. We got a room with a view of the fountains at The Bellagio. 

We went to the Las Vegas Temple. 

We ate so much good food. On Robert's birthday we ate at Gordon Ramsey's  Restaurant.

At the end of our trip we surprised my parents in Overton. We had a blast with them and Laura, Jessie and Molly.
