Costa Rica

I just got back from a 11 day trip to Costa Rica with this man. It was an amazing trip. There were so many nights where I went to bed thinking, "This was the best day of my life!" We did so many new and fun things. We reconnected and just enjoyed each other. I am so grateful for my life and my family. I am so blessed to be afforded so many opportunities to travel and experience new things. I am blessed with parents willing to take on my brood for 11 days!

This picture was a self portrait from our first night in San Jose. We arrived at the hotel after traveling for about 16 hours. We were tired, but so excited to start out on our adventure.

African Drumming

In January Winnie decided to join an African drumming group held at her school. They rehearsed once a week in preparation for a concert that was held earlier this month. Winnie had a fantastic time and the concert was amazing.

Winnie is a very unencumbered performer and sings very loudly. I had one of the teachers tell me that they hated it when Winnie was not at rehearsal because nobody sang without her there to lead them!

Winnie played a variety of instruments, but the frog was her favorite.

Almost Spring

Wee Ski

I have been wanting to find skis for Bobby for some time now. We have too big boots for him and so I finally bought some skiis at the REI Spring sale. We only got to use them this one time during the last week of March, but they will totally work next year too. Let me say that he loved it. He was born to ski. It was so fun to go as a family and enjoy nature. We all really enjoyed it.

My Little Acheivers

Winnie received this award for overall academic excellence.

Hannah received an award for her "out-of-this-world" science fair project.
Her project was testing the amount of fertilizer for optimal plant growth. She got a gold ribbon and an A+!

Easter Morn

Easter Happenings

We took the kids to an Easter egg hunt on the base. You can tell by the pictures that the kids were very successful hunters.

This picture was taken at an Easter egg hunt we had at project day at church. Jack was a little afraid of the Easter bunny.:)

Everyone with their favorite egg.

Jack kept stealing the eggs.

We had Grandpa over to help us dye Easter eggs with Daddy was in Valdez. We did  four dozen eggs. I made each child one with a special message. Winnie adored hers. It was bright purple and said "Winnie is Awesome"! When I tried to take a picture of Winnie holding her egg, Bobby knocked it out of her hand and it broke (the egg and her heart).
