Oh the Weather Outside Was Frightful

You wouldn't believe it to look outside today, but a week ago their was a winter storm here in Louisville! It started snowing Friday morning and didn't stop until Saturday afternoon---the grand total 13 inches at our house in 24 hours. It was a bitter sweet time for me. I looooove a good snow, but Friday night was supposed to be the Young Women auction and chili cook off in our ward. The YW (and their leaders) had put so much time and effort into the preparation. We had to call the entire ward and postpone it. Sad.

Saturday was supposed yo be jam packed with things for us to do, but instead the entire city shut down for a "snow day". We drove around in our big truck and found a parking lot to do donuts in. This is a picture of Hannah on a bench in front of Wal-Mart on Saturday morning and the snow was still falling! Saturday night we invited all our neighbors over for a big pasta dinner. Ymmm. Thanks Robert.
Monday schools were in session, but Winnie and I enjoyed making the fastest snowman ever. This baby took us about 5 minutes to make. The wet snow just caked on. It was so fun. Ironically now here it is Friday again and their is no snow to be found!
This was the snow on our truck Saturday morning. We think we got about 3-4 more inches after this picture was taken.

What a crazy weather week, but that's Louisville for you!

Sounds like you guys had fun! The snowman looks great! We didn't make one this time, Andrew was too impatient and really,he just wanted to push him mower in snow and eat it!
